Republic TV ha sido el canal de noticias en inglés más visto en la India desde su semana de lanzamiento. Fundado por Arnab Goswami, Republic TV se lanzó el 6 de mayo de 2017. El canal se lanzó en abierto a través de servicios DTH y operadores de televisión por cable en todo el país. Según los informes, Republic TV se convirtió en el canal de noticias en inglés más visto de la India durante su primera semana de emisión en mayo de 2017, con 21,1 lakh (2,11 millones) de impresiones y representó el 51,9% de la audiencia, según los datos publicados para la semana por el Broadcast Audience Research Council.
