Een nieuwszender die op verantwoorde wijze geloofwaardige, authentieke en betrouwbare informatie geeft over het laatste nieuws. GNN houdt zijn publiek 24 uur per dag op de hoogte. Het werd in 2005 gelanceerd als CNBC Pakistan onder licentie van CNBC Asia Pacific. Het was toen eigendom van Vision Network Television Limited. In 2015 werd het omgedoopt tot Jaag TV en werd het opnieuw uitgebracht. In 2018 werd het opnieuw gelanceerd onder een nieuwe naam GNN. Het begon uit te zenden onder de naam CNBC Pakistan, waarbij het een licentie kreeg van CNBC Asia. Het was toen eigendom van Vision Network Television. In 2015 werd het opnieuw gelanceerd als Jaag TV na te hebben geworsteld om te concurreren op de Pakistaanse markt. Het kanaal bleef worstelen en werd gekocht door het Pakistaanse bakkerijbedrijf Gourmet Bakeries. Naar verluidt kochten zij het voor ₨1,5 miljard om hun activiteiten te diversifiëren. In 2018 kondigde het bedrijf aan het kanaal een nieuwe naam te willen geven en het opnieuw te lanceren onder de naam G News Network. Hiervoor benoemden ze Amir Mir broer van Hamid Mir Chief Operating Officer van het kanaal.
