WNYW is a television station in New York City, serving as the flagship of the Fox network. It is owned and operated by the Fox Television Stations division of the network alongside Secaucus, New Jersey-licensed MyNetworkTV flagship WWOR-TV. Both stations share studios at the Fox Television Center on East 67th Street in the Lenox Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, while the WNYW transmitter is located at One World Trade Center.
WNYW broadcasts 45½ hours of locally produced newscasts each week. As is standard with Fox stations that broadcast weekend news in the early evening, Fox 5 New York Saturdays and Sundays at 6pm. newscasts are subject to delays or anticipation due to network sports coverage.
Through its network's sports division, WNYW has broadcast major sports championships with teams from New York in recent years. As part of the network's coverage of the National Hockey League in 1995, the station broadcast the Stanley Cup Finals when the New Jersey Devils won their first Stanley Cup.
