Chilevisión (CHV) is a Chilean free-to-air television channel owned by Paramount Global. It began broadcasting on November 4, 1960 on frequency 9 in Santiago.
The channel was initially owned by the Universidad de Chile until 1993, when it was sold to the Venezuelan conglomerate Organización Cisneros. In 2005, businessman Sebastián Piñera acquired Chilevisión through his holding company Bancard; in 2010, and after his inauguration as President of Chile, it became controlled by Turner Latin America, currently WarnerMedia Latin America. In a transaction that took almost 13 months between 2020 and 2021, WarnerMedia ceded control of Chilevisión to Paramount International Networks.
Chilevisión is a member of the National Television Association and the Ibero-American Telecommunications Organization (OTI). The channel has been generating its programming since 2016 in studios located in the WarnerMedia Chile Corporate Building - which originally housed the Machasa textile factory - in the Santiago district, Metropolitan Region.
