DW (Deutsche Welle). De zender, die zich richt op nieuws- en informatieprogramma's, begon uit te zenden op 1 april 1992. DW zendt uit via satelliet en vertrekt vanuit Berlijn. DW's Engelstalige uitzendingen zijn gericht op een internationaal publiek. DW Arabic is bedoeld voor Arabischtaligen die als vluchteling naar Europa zijn gekomen en inwoners van het Midden-Oosten. DW Arabic brengt vanuit Duitsland onbevooroordeelde media-verslaggeving over de belangrijkste gebeurtenissen in de Arabische wereld, Europa en de wereld. De dagelijkse uitzendingen bestaan uit nieuwsuitzendingen per uur, documentaires, tijdschriften en actuele onderwerpen, die de klok rond worden uitgezonden, afwisselend in het Duits en het Engels voor Noord- en Zuid-Amerika en ook twee uur per dag in het Spaans. De zender zendt ook drie uur per dag uit in het Arabisch.
