KSTU, Virtual Channel 13, is a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Owned by EW Scripps of Cincinnati, it is part of a duopoly with Ion Television-owned and operated Provo-licensed station KUPX-TV. KSTU's studios are located on West Amelia Earhart Drive in northwestern Salt Lake City, and its transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirr Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. The station has a large network of broadcast translators who are expanding their broadcast coverage throughout Utah as well as parts of Nevada.
KSTU currently broadcasts 61½ hours of locally produced news each week; In terms of hours devoted to news, it is the highest local newscast of any television station in Utah. KSTU Saturday and Sunday 5:00 pm News is expropriated due to online sports coverage, which is standard for Fox stations that broadcast their news on weekends in the early evening.
