Dallas news, weather, sports and traffic from KDFW FOX 4, serving Dallas-Fort Worth, northern Texas and the state of Texas.
KDFW is a Fox-owned and operated television station licensed in Dallas, Texas, United States and serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Owned by Fox Corporation's sister company Fox Television Stations, it is part of a duopoly with the station owned and operated by MyNetworkTV KDFI. Both stations share studios on North Griffin Street in downtown Dallas, while the KDFW transmitter is located in Cedar Hill, Texas.
Syndicated programs broadcast by KDFW starting January 2022 include Live with Kelly and Ryan, The Wendy Williams Show, TMZ on TV, Extra, Judge Judy, and The Nick Cannon Show. Since joining the network in July 1995, KDFW has only aired Fox prime time, late Saturday night and sports programming, as well as special reports produced by Fox News.
KDFW began as a CBS affiliate in 1960 after the team was disenfranchised as the primary television network for the Dallas Cowboys by CBS' pre-AFL merger television rights to the National Football League. The station carried most of the regional or national Cowboys game coverage broadcast by CBS, including the team's victories in Super Bowl VI and Super Bowl XII, until its contractual rights to the National Football Conference were finalized in 1993
