It also serves the Twin Cities area as a station owned and operated by the Fox network. It is owned by Fox Corporation's subsidiary Fox Television Stations. It has a common property with the MyNetworkTV WFTC outlet.
KMSP currently broadcasts 59 hours of locally produced news each week; in terms of the number of hours devoted to news programming, it is the highest production of news programs among Minneapolis broadcasters.
On May 11, 2009, KMSP became the second station in the Twin Cities to broadcast local news in high definition.
