- Belgium
Antenne Centre Télévision (ACTV) is a Belgian television channel, broadcast in eleven municipalities in the Centre Region. It is one of the twelve local televisions recognized in the French Community Wallonia-Brussels.
The broadcasting area of Antenne Centre Télévision covers eleven municipalities in the districts of Charleroi, Thuin and Soignies: Anderlues, Binche, Braine-le-Comte, Écaussinnes, Estinnes, La Louvière, Le Rœulx, Manage, Morlanwelz, Soignies and Seneffe.
The creation of a community television specific to the Centre Region emanates from a think tank on audiovisual. The first images were broadcast on December 18, 1982 during a program devoted to the Boch Kéramis company. At the beginning, the channel offered only one program per month, but from 1984, and the recruitment of the first journalists and technicians, the rhythm became bi-monthly. The first weekly program appeared in October 1985, as did the first commercials.
Awarded a prize in 1993 on the occasion of the Local Media Festival, Antenne Centre's program schedule currently consists of one hour of its own daily production. Since 1994, the news is broadcast live, from Monday to Saturday, and is followed by a thematic magazine. The programs are broadcast in a loop.p.
