Moldova 2 is the second Moldovan public television channel, launched on May 3, 2016, in honor of the 58th anniversary of Teleradio-Moldova. The broadcasting started with Press Open Moldova 1 journalists' addresses from the Cup to table tennis. The launch of Moldova 2 took place at the recommendation of the European Broadcasting Union, as well as due to the need to cover a large number of sports programs.
The station broadcasts programs of Moldova 1 and live sports events, such as the Summer Olympic Games and the European Football Championship. TV Moldova 2 is available all over the country through cable networks and broadcasts without interruption.
