Somoy Television is a 24-hour Bengali television station in Bangladesh. The head office is located at 89, Bir Uttam CR Dutta Road, Banglamotor, Dhaka. It holds a Broadcasting NOC license from the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Somoy TV received state broadcasting license in October 2009. It began test transmission on October 10, 2010 and has been on the air commercially since April 17, 2011.
The channel has grown with a band of devoted journalists from the country who have already achieved fame both nationally and internationally. Somoy News continues its activities with the aim of presenting authentic and politically impartial news to the public in the most hidden corners of Bangladesh and other parts of the world.
