TV+ (TV Más) is a privately owned Chilean free-to-air television channel with a long and significant history in the country’s broadcasting industry. Formerly known as the Television Corporation of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, UCV Televisión, and UCV TV, the channel holds a unique place in Chilean media. It is recognized as the first television station in Chile and the only one with national coverage that originally broadcast its entire programming from outside Santiago. TV+ began its experimental transmissions in 1957 at the facilities of the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso and was officially launched in August 1959. Over the decades, the channel evolved alongside the country’s television industry. Its operations were later moved to the Agua Santa area in Viña del Mar, strengthening its regional identity. Since 2017, the channel’s main headquarters have been located in Vitacura, in eastern Santiago, reflecting its modern stage and national reach. Today, TV+ offers a diverse mix of entertainment, cultural programs, talk shows, and informative content aimed at a broad audience. Embracing new technologies and digital platforms, the channel allows viewers to stay connected and, when available, watch live tv stream options from different devices, continuing its legacy as a pioneering force in Chilean television.
